So kann man jetzt Loaction Based Services nutzen. Per GPS und einem Browser basierenden Dienst lassen sich Geräte lokalisieren und in Echtzeit "tracken". Gefahrene Routen lassen sich darstellen, um Optimierungen für die nächsten Einsätze vorzunehmen. Historische Daten wie der Batteriestatus, GPS Position oder WLAN Signalstärke lassen sich jetzt aufzeichnen und analysieren. Der Support für Geräte von Intermec, Psion Teklogix, Honeywell, Motorola, Cipherlab, DAP, Datalogic, Denso, Janam, M3, Sharp und Toshiba wurde weiter verbessert, Imager von Honeywell können jetzt integriert werden. New! Location Services – Mobile Endgeräte mit GPS können lokalisiert oder deren Bewegung verfolgt werden. In Echtzeit können so zum Beispiel Mitarbeiter von Sicherheits oder Serviceunternehmen an die entsprechenden Einsatzstellen geleitet werden. Durch unterschiedliche Ansichten, wie Strassenansicht, Satellitenbild oder sogar die Vogelperspektive in ausgewählten Regionen (siehe Bild) können unterschiedlichste Anforderungen erfüllt werden. Durch die History Funktion können aber auch Touren ausgewertet und optimiert werden.
New! Data Collection Rules – Historische Daten können gesammelt und ausgewertet werden. So ist es zum Beispiel möglich, den Batteriestatus, GPS location (Geo-Position), WLAN/WiFi Signalstärke, oder alle anderen anfallenden Daten zu sammeln, um sie später auszuwerten.
SMS - Verbesserungen beim Senden von SMS Nachrichten/Control Scripts an Geräte über beliebige Geräte, die Online sind, und Unterstützung beim Senden von SMS Nachrichten über CDMA zusätzlich zu GSM Netzwerken..
Security - Einige Verbesserungen bei der Benutzerauthentifikation und Berechtigungskontrolle:
- Improved Device User AD authentication to better support hosting of the Development Server within the DMZ.
- Added capability to change User AD password from mobile devices.
- Improved support for multi-domain AD environments for configuration of Management console security.
- Expanded the list of permissions to restrict user access in the management console functionality.
- Performance - Improved Device agent performance as well as decreased memory footprint. Faster load time for MobiControl Manager. Faster
- Remote Control performance for mobile devices, with less CPU usage.
Reports - Can now generate reports on a subset of the device tree, as well several new built-in reports have been added.
Rapid/Flexible Configuration - Features have been added to get mobile devices configured even faster, these include:
Ability to inject a package into the Device Agent installer, allowing for the creation of a single CAB/EXE installer that includes the MobiControl Device Agent as well as application software/data.
Improved support for automatic re-installation of the agent from an SD card following a device reset.
Device agent names can now be configured using data retreived from the device.
Exchange ActiveSync automatic configuration now allows users to configure mail, calendar, contacts and task synchronization.
Flexible customization of device lockdown as well as the ability to customize the device password screen with customer branding
Platform Support - Broadened support for device and peripherals, including:
Added support for Windows Mobile 6.1 devices.
Added support for newest devices from Intermec, Psion Teklogix, Honeywell, Motorola, Cipherlab, DAP, Datalogic, Denso, Janam, M3, Sharp, Toshiba, and others.
Improvements for Intermec Smart Systems cloning.
Added support for Honeywell Imager devices.
User Interface & Usability Enhancements - Numerous user interface and usability enhancements have been added to allow users to better customize displays and do the things they want quicker and more intuitively.

Fix for lockdown task bar 'ok'/'x' button.
Fix for re-installation of packages according to configured dependencies after a device cold-boot.

Dynamic Package Deployment Groups – Quickly and easily deploy packages to a focused subset of devices by assigning your package to a virtual group and configuring a Device Relocation Rule to automatically establish which devices belong to that group.
Device User Authentication Improvements
- Added the ability to securely reset the device user password (standard authentication) even if the device is offline
- Improved user authentication via an Active Directory server by having the agent automatically establish a cellular data connection when an online authentication is required
- Improved support for the changing of a user Active Directory password from the mobile device
Lockdown – Numerous improvements including:
- Full support for VGA and other high resolution screen sizes
- 3rd party software may now add custom icons to the custom navigation bar
- Improved support for launching of 3rd party .NET applications
Platform Support - Broadened support to include Cadec and Gotive Windows CE powered devices, while enhancing existing support for Motorola, Intermec, Honeywell, Psion Teklogix and Samsung devices.
Script Enhancements:
- ‘abortpkg’ script command can now be used in post-install scripts
- ‘showmessagebox’ command now includes OK/Cancel button option
Assorted minor improvements for the following features:
- Send SMS Script feature, ability to edit destination phone number
- ‘Move Device’ group permission, now independent of the ‘Modify Device Groups’ permission
- Exchange ActiveSync Configuration, now supports specification of HTML message download size
- ‘Force Package Reinstall Now’ command, updated to only affect selected device
- File encryption, improved handling of email, MMS messages and other file formats
- Report, addressed several report generation errors
- Remote file editing, addressed conflict with Windows Vista User Access Control mode
